Following on from the last Facebook brain-computer interface post, neuroscientists at the University of Wisconsin have developed a method to detect the content of dreams.
The research has found a single ‘hot spot’ that fires up when we dream – as opposed to large-scale brain activity. In addition, non-invasive brain scanning can suggest the content of the dream.
It’s clear that our ability to detect information is steadily improving. In time, there is clearly scope for high bandwidth computer-brain interfaces to become a reality.
